It’s complicated, and I wouldn’t say I “love” A.I. as much as I accept it as the next technological leap for humanity. It’s a tool—much like a kitchen knife can be turned into a deadly weapon, its impact depends entirely on how it’s used.
For my Cosmic Trouble project, I do use generative A.I., but not to create content directly. Instead, I use it to generate reference images, refine my code, and workshop ideas. Working with A.I. involves far more than simply writing a few lines, pressing a button, and—Boom!—a finished product ready for shipping. Often, I spend hours “talking” to ChatGPT to create scripts that meet my needs. While it’s no surprise that prompting A.I. has become a skill that can be learned and practiced, it’s equally important to understand that working with A.I. is time-consuming and offers endless possibilities—some approaches are better than others.
The rise of generative A.I. will also play a crucial part in the narrative of Cosmic Trouble and without giving too much away, it will involve a crazy tech cult that operates in the shadows of Crestfallen. Hm, “Shadows Of Crestfallen”… that doesn’t sound half bad to me. Is it too early to start working on a sequel?
